Oil in N55 valve cover- normal?
Changing my VCG, yet the VC itself is relatively new so I was not planning to replace it. However, it did have a decent amount of oil inside the upper cavity.
Is this normal operation of the PCV system? 2011 535i xDrive 157k (VC is much newer). |

Pics.
If it's inside of the vacuum reservoir, that can be an internal crack in the VC. Meaning you'd need a new VC, no matter how new it already was. What brand is it? OE, at least? |

By George, I believe you are onto something.
I also have a couple of air mass faults. https://youtu.be/7W_QG0oywCw This video seems about right. Might as well go with a new cover to eliminate. |

Yah - I was thinking of that video later and was going to see if I could try to find it. The relevant info is just a nugget out of the whole run time of the video - but that's exactly what I was thinking of...
