Drivetrain Malfunction Question

Ok, I'm at a loss. Recently did a new valve cover and OFHG on an n55 535. Did an oil change as well cause yea. Immediately after I got a drivetrain malfunction cam a stuck and cam a over retarded. Removed solenoids and cleaned them and tested with a 9v battery. The car starts up perfect, runs perfect, no sputtering, rpm stays steady, no shaking, nothing. I don't have a bmw code reader atm, no idea where it went. Is this am error i need the tool to clear? I've only personally dealt with drivetrain malfunctions that were vacuum related.

Did you reconnect the valvetronic motor?
