Phones that have the Com Box Office Functions
Allows you to see which phones have which functions, can even filter by function.
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/nav...eck_intro.html A lot of the Nokia and Sony phones appear to have the office or at least some of the office functions. Funny thing is in the UK doesn't mention the Blackberry Torch. Which in the UK at least for the moment appears to be the only OS6 phone available. |

Yeah, there isn't a single phone that is compatible with all the available functions. I think the Sony Ericsson phones come the closest,, but I'll be waiting for BB with OS6 for the truly integrated office features..

I don't know if the problem lies with RIM not opening up all of the functions via the Message Access Profile (MAP) which is part of the Bluetooth functions in OS6, or whether there is a future update of the 6V6 combox software that will open things up. |

I am not sure what you mean. Bluetooth is standard. Every phone's vendor enables certain functions within the Bluetooth stack. In the case of the BMW Office, the transfer of messages/calendar/etc was developed jointed by BMW and RIM (go to You Tube and search for BMW Blackberry to get more information, and find the video where the technology is being demoed at a RIM event earlier in the year...around April). As I say, some functions are working, some are not. I need to dig into this more e.g. why the calendar sync does not work, but haven't had time to.

I know i know i know but i am going to say it anyway,,, Probably one of the biggest selling phones of all time is the iPhone ANY version. To not have office capability for that device is simply insane. In my opinion anyway

I think that BWM focused on adult phones first (Bberry) and will get to the kids phones later (iPhones)
