Can't say I have noticed anything yet, although I have not used the routing yet either.

Even worse map guidance on the 2012 version
As per this blogger's recent update from 2010 version. The new one took him thru the 'Scenic Route'.

No, I was being facetious. I have no reason to doubt what he wrote is his experience. As for me personally, I have not noticed any difference, for better or worse.

Update: I figured out how that problem was. iso has to be burned in low speed, like 2.4x. Now it works! Last edited by bimmereason; 01-20-2012 at 01:06 PM.. |

I downloaded the 2012 dvds and got my FSC code. But after 17% of the first disc being loaded, I got a "disc is unreadable" error. I reburned my DVD with Image Burn using the .dms file and verified the burn. When i put the new disc in, the system jumps back to 17% and then gives me the same error. I'm using HP dual layer DVD+R 2.4x media.
Is there any way to start the process all over again from scratch, or to erase the first 17% and start over again? |

I just ordered the 2013 update on a USB drive with FSC code from getbmwparts.com. They are having a special for $235. I received an email with the code already and the usb drive is in the mail.

If you going to do the update I recommend doing it over USB (it takes three USB drives of data). You need 2 16gb usb drive, after the first has loaded you can copy the files for the third USB drive onto the first drive you loaded from while the second one is loading to the car. The whole update only takes 45 minutes that way.

The 32 gb usb stick arrived today (3 days after ordering). It took about 45 minutes to update my car after plugging into the usb port in the glove box and entering the code. It definitely has streets and businesses not on my 2011 version maps.

I have emailed the guy actually and it involves downloading files which I am having issues with. I was just wondering if they are available to buy. I have also posted in another thread about some dvds going round from member to member so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. |

FSC Codes
Anybody wanting FSC cOdes, May I recommend this guy.
sergej markovic <*****************> Made contact, paid him by paypal and got the FSC codes within the hour! All you do is send him the Vehicle Id Number. Each FSC code is based on the vehicles number and you can only use it on that vehicle. He also supplies the discs! Now have upgraded to 2013 version premium for a fraction of the price. He responds very quickly to any query that you have. Any questions, PM me. FSC codes are valid world wide with local navigation discs! |

+1 for Sergej. He is a quick win/low cost solution.
I downloaded the torrent and put it in 3 USB sticks (16, 8 and 16 Gb respectively disk 1, 2 and 3). Sergej sent me the FSC code in a hour and after 40 minutes the Premium 2013-2 version could run. Amleto |
