Does work well. Great when you like to run mix blends like E30, etc..
We originally had a run of 15 units (all sold now) but it took a while to sell. We do have components to make about 10 more in stock but there has not been enough interest at this point and time. We can do another run (as all have to be hand assembled and programmed) if there is enough interest. (individual orders possible as well) PM me if interested so we do not clog up this thread with another topic. Last edited by jayster0966; 04-27-2020 at 03:54 PM.. |

How much? Forget it we are on page 4... It is time for a distraction. Besides, reading you e levels is important when you are doing a lpfp, somewhat related!!
Do you have pics of the new housing? |

Ahhh. Just user error. Pulled the pump and found the supplied fuel hose had popped off. Silly me I thought just by heating the tip and sliding it on, that it would stay on. The kit did come with clamps. And I did not use them. So take it as a lesson. USE THE CLAMPS! Installed the clamps and put the pump back in. Running like a champ now. Hey. I can do this in like 30 min now

Is there any chance you could share a log? Maybe against a before log on the same gear to compare apples to apples on this LPFP upgrade?

Ok, time for an upgrade. I just picked up the High pressure version f90000274. Should be here Sunday and I will swap in.

I grabbed the 295 version. It's the 274 but without an internal check valve. Flows more for the same current draw. Only downside is that you might get a long crank when starting it cold, but honestly it's not really a huge deal since it helps build some more oil pressure anyhow during crank, which is kind of a pro. If it bothers you a lot, could always splice in a full flow check valve somewhere in your fuel line. I just used a brass drift and a deadblow to slowly bang the ring off and on, but a proper tool would definitely make it FAR less time consuming and tiring.
Heads up for those doing the install. I had less than a quarter tank left and it was still almost too much gas in the tank. Thankfully wasn't overflowing, but still needed to really dip your hands into gas. The fuel line that is posted also is too long. Needs to get about a half inch taken off both sides, otherwise the bend is too tall and the hat hits it. I got lazy and didn't want to take out the LPFP, yank off the line, and trim, so I just trimmed the little nubs on the hat that were hitting it. They're not used for anything in our cars as it's just a dummy plug. Other solution is to either source a proper length tube (about 5-6 inches) or get a rubber one that you can trim to length as needed. Overall a pretty straightforward upgrade. Edit: Nubs I'm talking about (see attached photo). Likely used for a second LPFP plug for cars that run dual pumps.

And yea when I did it on mine I waited for the low fuel light to turn on. Maybe about 1/8th of the tank. At that point it was perfect to do it. This is the install vid I made for that . You can see how low the level of fuel was inside the tank.
