I received the dreaded Drive train malfunction on my 2014 535d with 27k on it. After running the fault code, I discovered it's the EGR valve. Has anyone with a 535d experienced this? The fault code went off, and hasn't returned. Thank god I have a full warranty until 2020. I guess I'll take it to the stealership on Friday and see what is up.......

I have been having this problem when the auto start function activates. Today was the worst- I came to a stop, the car turned off and the drivetrain malfunction in red came on (usually it's in yellow). Then the car wouldn't start as though the battery was dead. Then I tried to start the car again and all it did was turn over without starting. I took my finger off the starter button but the car continued to try and start. This happened 3 times. Car started normally on the fourth try and the error message was gone. Going to the dealer tomorrow

I just got the message for the first time after 90,000 kms (56,000 miles) and it was just before I got an oil change. After looking up it shows that it could just be something that was knocked loose. Any ideas?
