Where can I tap for vacuum line?
Hey guys, I’m installing my FI Exhaust on my bmw and I need to tap into the vacuum line for my exhaust! I have a ER charge pipe and was wondering if I could just use one of the meth ports as a vacuum? Thanks !

You cannot use the charge pipe because the turbo will pressurize the system. Vacuum points on turbo cars are limited because of the forced induction. There may be a spot off the valve cover that you can tap from but I am not sure.

Looks like there is a Engine driven vacuum pump. the pic above shows the hoses and solenoid. You should be able to tap before the valve. Should be on the passenger side of the engine. |

Looks right only one way to tell tho is to pull one end with the car running and check for vacuum.

Then the only other way is to add a vacuum pump. Something like
https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-Mini-Va...-/123203587397 Then the switch to control the flaps will just turn this pump on and off. |

Not sure what car you have. But the Diesels have black and red rubber braided vacuum lines towards the rear left side of the engine.
you can also just go to newtis.info and search vacuum pump |

I don’t have a diesel it’s a gas 2015 535i XDrive EWG! But thanks for the link, I’ll take a look at it! I think it may just be easier to do what the other person suggested with a mini 12v pump!
