2012 F10 S2VA - lowering issue - Bounce
Hi All,
wondering if anyone can offer some advice... My car is a 2012 535D m-Sport model but sat high due to adaptive chassis from new (SV2A Adaptive Chassis), i have fitted Eibach Pro sport lowering springs and am happy with the new ride height and look .. BUT The car feels ok on flat roads but if i hit a bump, it bounce's around and doesn't feel composed at all... its a little better in sport mode but still i can feel the bounce and just doesn't feel right! the springs have been on the car for 2 months now and don't feel any better. any thoughts on what the issue maybe? As an option, i have purchased some B6 dampers to go on but worried about getting it coded out for the shocks and if this affects the roll bars and adaptive lights... really appreciate any advice offered. thanks Jim |

My guess is the B6 dampers will fix this. If you're paying big bucks to get this done you may want to confirm with someone who's used the F10 B6 dampers before. I used Eibachs and B8 on my previous car (not a BMW) and the combination was fantastic.
Stock dampers usually have barely enough damping to keep things under control, and putting stiffer springs on them just exacerbates the issue. |
