Front Lip Scrap Test
I am contemplating whether if I should add a front lip to my M Sport bumper. With my car lowered with H&R springs, will my front scrap like mlai's V1.0 with the 3DDesign front lip?
So I decided to do a little scrap test with a small paper box tapped on my front bumper. Purposely protruded out to simulate the profile of any front lip. Test drove on my estate's ramp, no scrap. Even at the worst inclined portion of the ramp. My bro-in-law's 911 scrapped big time at this portion. Not for this, unless I race through this portion like drag racing. Then drove on cloud view road, park fook road to tai koo shing. Back and forth, no scrap. The box is 60mm or 2.5" high. I have tired to turn it 90 degrees and tapped it, 85mm or 3.5" high. Then it scrapped and the box got knocked away. Will try some more to those car parks with insane ramps. This will be my major bench marking before my pulling of trigger to get a front lip.

RC bro, after your 1st test today, 3D lip is good to go and I knew you love it, so am I. For your 2nd test, I suggested you to do on both left and right corners as well, as my experience told the sides are more easy to get scrap. |

Yeah, I kinda like the 3D lip. But some say it's a ice skating rink ice resurfacer.

I thought you didn't like it. you said it's like one of those street cleaning sweeper trucks.
Don't know, may be they thought someone played planks on me.

AC and few other tuners' aero are too fancy for the F10. Hamann may be a little better, still complicated. But only 3D looks good. Not even end.cc

That's really not bad, I think the front lip and rear diffuser look nice. Can't feel the trunk spoiler tho. |

Haha, better look silly today than with a scraped lip tomorrow. May be people think it's some kind of special mod part.
