F11 ACS, can it go lower?
My F11 with ACS suspension looks a bit like a old US hotrod (low in front, a bit too high in the back). The front suspension is identical to the F10 and has the same schnitzer replacement suspension. However, since the F11 has air suspension on the rear axle, it does not get new suspension in the back. Instead it gets lowered by the BMW diagnostic system that gets programmed to make it lower. However, it seems to me that the back is still too high, compared to the front (especially when comparing to the ACS F10's that I have seen from Delvek and EdwinF10). Confronted with this, the dealer told me that they cannot lower the suspension more, unless they install extra support for the rear wheels..... Anyone has experience with lowering the F11? Any tips or info is welcome. thanks. Enclosed a picture of my car. As you see the front is lower than the back, eventhough it still needs to settle (only 300 km on the dial).

This is the loweest F11 I've seen yet. It's got coilovers in the front, but the rear is still pretty low.

This wagon is soo sexy!
The drop doesn't look too bad IMO, bit I think even the front is still higher then my F10 on ACS springs.

The bmw-dealer in lubeck that installed my acs kit told me to go to a BMW dealer if the rear doesnt drop enough after a couple of weeks to release some pressure from the rear self-leveling system. Send a Mail to schnizter and Ask them!

Issue solved. I contacted the dealer with pictures of the f11 from magnus. They asked again and suddenly it was possible to go lower. It has now been lowered with an extra 1,5 cm, which now amounts to a total of 2,5 cm. I could go lower but since this is a company car, i don't want to
Overdo it. Thanks everybody for your help and comments. Ps weirdly i do not feel any difference at all, comfortwise. Eventhough the looks have really improved |

Afraid not. I thought the same thing so I even had the dealer and ACS call each other to verify that the right suspension had been installed. It seems that this is this is the right suspension, eventhough I have seen F10īs which were lower. It might be that they still use the same 5.28i suspension that was used on the 2011 version, which still had the heavier 6 cylinder. Less weight on the front wheels might mean higher suspension.....?

This is my 530d xDrive with ACS lowering. In my opinion, it's a little bit too low in the back. Your car in the openingpost is perfect.

The only solution is to put koilovers, like for example KW V2 or V3. With these suspensions, you can change stiffness and height.

I think they deliberately make the rear a bit taller so when you load your trunk, the rear wheel have enough clearance and wouldn't bottom out. Your car looks better with the front slightly lower to be honest.
