The dealer loaned me a car in this colour/trim it was awful, the leather looks really yellow against the grey paint and silver trim. Cinnamon and anthracite looks the bizz |

Yeah... we looked at the Oyster/Black and it did nothing for me at all. It just does not match the Space Gray color. The only colors that actually match are the Black and Everest Gray. If you are one of those that can wear two different colored socks that don't match, then maybe some of those other colors will work for you.

Agreed. The benefit of an interior that has enough light so you can see the details combined with dark contrasts makes the oyster "pop."
Added to the utility benefit of black carpet in places where people's feet stay situated. Hello? Do you really know where peoples' feet have been? Oyster black is not a color, it is a system. (TM) Note: oyster black does not make your car interior look two tone. Once you start deviating to cinnamon (how feminine sounding) then you lose the contrast and the interior starts to feel like a morgue. Ask anyone who ever purchased cinnamon and 99.999% will tell you they regret it. Oyster is like the pearl. Pearl is like top shelf trim. Trim is good. Cinnamon? Two many f...ing syllables. By the time you you enunciate the third syllable in "cinnamon" as you explain the color of your car to a woman her gay-dar is beeping like a traffic jam in new York city and she is outta here. |

Yellow? Maybe it was really dirty, as my Oyster / Black Nappa does not look at ALL yellow.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I just finished an agonizing decision process over this very question. Ultimately, I decided to go with Space Gray/Black Dakota/Anthracite Wood Trim & Headliner. My second choice was Everest gray interior, but I had that on my 330i that I'm trading and wanted something different. I love the looks of the Oyster & Black in the showroom and in pics, but I feared I would tire of it after a while, and the seats will be tough to keep clean. Beige doesn't match at all with Space Gray IMO.

Black interior and tinted windows looks great with space gray
Edit: Just saw you were interested in Hex alum trim. Do not get it. Scratches very easily. Mine is looking worn after just one year. |

the oyster is too 'tan' for me on anything but black exterior. i wish they had a nappa option that was lt-grey/black.. i'm not a fan of the grey plastic surfaces. which, by process of elimination, means it has to be black. preferably napa.
