Is this a good price on 2011 Demo 550i?
Hey guys and gals,
I just got a price from a BMW dealership on a 2011 550i 6 speed with M sport package, active ventilated seats, and the premium 2 package. The MSRP is just under $72,000.00 The warranty just started this month on it, so it still has 4 years or 50,000 mi. starting now. It only has 1,800 mi. They gave me a price of $60,000.00!!!! I'm really tempted to pull the trigger but I'm concernened about resale value. What do you all think of the price and its resale value once I drive it off the lot? |

I think $60,000 is a great price for that model and those options. If the sticker is $72,000 and you can truly get it for $60,000 you're saving $12,000 dollars, which is effectively the depreciation most cars take over the first couple of years. To me that automatically helps your residual and trade in values, as you're already paying the "after depreciation" price...

That sounds like a great deal. It's very hard to find a 6MT M-sport. I would get it if it were in my area. With respect to resale, the 6MT will make the car harder to sell. But, if you wan a 6MT, you can't worry too much about resale.
