So many problems...my car knows i am cheating on it
Long time no see...
I been having some random annoyance with my car lately....radio randomly played loud screeching noises while i was driving and it wouldn't stop until i stopped the car and restarted the engine. Also, the car now randomly pops up with "coolant level too low" (err..isnt that kinda fast?) a few times. And after all this had happened last week I scheduled a test drive for the new A7 (even my fiance was understanding - nothing like car problems affecting your potential safety to get an increased budget ). Anyway, my car must have sensed my betrayal because yesterday the tire blew (btw, NO WARNING FROM THE COMPUTER!!!!)...i just suddenly felt that every road in the bump was being unabsorbed and then i could smell the rubber burning. Luckily i had my window down and figured it out pretty soon after. Because of the low sidewalls, it didnt really run poorly at high speeds, but once i slowed down it was obvious I had a flat (I was going from pok fu lam over to Aberdeen where there is this long continuous downhill slope. Anyways...just randomly whining. On another note, I received that mailing (sure you guys did too), that has the sale on the bmw M package..more importantly..they supposedly do the frozen grey paint jobs?!?!?!?!?! Oh yeh, now going to take to WK to get tire repaired then to bmw for service...should i be madly complaining about the computer...or does TPMS not monitor the tire problem for 20" tires?? |

I only have the reference of the big advertisement in cwb flyover. But it looks too regal and polite. haha if same price as CLS and A7 cannot see myself making such a decision. Are u going to upgrade again?
I m just doing homework to see if the A7 3.0 has ecu upgrade but now that I have moved parking cost 10k month for office + home. Might get rid of car and buy verspa. Hahaha |

Thought you sold your car already.... I sensed you did not like your car that much from awhile ago. May be the car can feel you want to abandon her. haha.
Bad luck bro. You called a tow truck? Since I don't think you have a spare tire. I always scared I'll get a puncture too. Troublesome.... Keep us updated on the coolant issue. May be you should get a 911

As mlai said, just see if you are switching car. I remember you have considered many options just month after you got your F10.

Anyways, how are you enjoying your car? still loving it and babying it and modifying it?? |

But then, neither one is for me. I need to be able to occasionally sit 5 people in total. And none of them do that for me. So 650i Grand Coupe! Here I come! PS. I still love my F10 550i. My children loves it. My relatives love it. My friends love it. Just that I love the GC A LOT MORE

Asiakid, cheating may be an indirect way of forcing yourself to face whether you are ready to commit (to the car)

Sorry to hear your misery, but hey Bimmer are so sensitive, if they felt a hint of betrayal they will let you know
Anyways let me shed some lights into your trouble. The coolant warning pops up randomly, do you mean only at start up in the morning? If so the coolant maybe a bit low. On a cool engine (don't do it when engine is warm, you may hurt yourself), open the reservoir and there should be a red stick sticking out, if not your coolant is low and need a top up. I used to top up for my E60 every few months despite there's no water on my parking spot. The car not only consume oil, it also consume water probably because of the high compression rate they run at. Just distilled water is fine you don't need to mix coolant this and that and don't put mineral water in it For the tire warning, it will only prompt if there's a slow leak, because our car doesn't have the TPMS in the wheels like the Americans do, it only senses the wheel spin relative to the other, not going into the tech stuff but conclusion is, it only senses graduate pressure lost not sudden lost. In your case sounds like a sudden lost of pressure. If you are going into service then I am sure BMW will take care of everything for you. Good luck then.... oh did I mention the CLS looks hideous? The rear light cluster looks like two squash pea with cheap LEDs. If I have offend any Merc owner then... good

Grimlock..haha you are very evil..i can tell from your response..wise and evil.
AC..yeh once i drop off to service i will unleash a list of little complaints and hopefully sort itself out. After reading how some guys installed bluetooth from BMW, might as well ask them to do that as well. Thanks for the tips on the coolant, I was reading about it online as well, but might as well leave it for service to handle. |
