2013 550i to get 45HP boost, 445HP total
http://www.leftlanenews.com/bmw-550i...-for-2013.html
I am guessing this is to compete more with the E550 and CLS550 which both are 0-60 in 4.2 according to C&D test results. the current 550i is 4.8 not sure if that extra 45 horsepower will push it to the low 4's (most likely 4.5 second), but 445HP and 480lb torque is pretty awesome. And you can get it in AWD! |

"Plan" does not mean official.
We have all been speculating the power bump (with the valvetronic) discussion/speculation since May 2012 and thus far, only 650 & 550 GT got the official power bump. Therefore, if it's true, then I don't see why people are going to pay $10,000 more for a 650 when most, if not all the features can be had in the 550. Just my 2 cents. |
