Just because this is a BMW forum doesn't mean we should have an elitist attitude towards less expensive enthusiast cars.

Didn't Subrau say dealer's aren't allowed to mark them up or something? It's good value for mid 20s or so. but going over 30k... I'd take a 370Z

The people who I know who bought them all paid at least 1-2k mark up on them :/
I went into Subi and wanted to test drive it.... but then they told me they want 6k over and they won't budge.... I walked straight out.

Yeup same here. dealers here wont even let you test drive them. I found some kid moving to canada selling his with over 1k mi for 29k which is still over msrp... I will wait till the hype goes down. I have yet to try my friend's frs with coilovers hard on twisties. Chris Harris likes it over the 370z so it must be pretty good. Straight line acceleration is a joke... traded cars with my friend and while I was flooring it in 2nd he was in my m3 in 6th and not even full throttle passing me lol..

Yeah, I believe the dealers aren't supposed to be marking them up, but they always find a way to get around that. It's just like what some Subaru and Mitsubishi dealers did when the STi and Evo came out. I certainly wouldn't pay a markup if I were shopping for one, because like you said, that puts you into the 370Z range and not to mention a wide array of used cars as well.
