Bug with extended black panel diplay
I am reporting an intriguing "bug" !
The extended black panel display of my 520d 2011 suddenly stopped displaying the regular informations (just the straight orange lines); No more odometer. Just the lines.... When I stopped the car and restarted, all was back to normal. I guess the computer just had to reset itself.... I was just wandering if this was frequent.... All this electronics... |

I've had one instance when my display was completely pitch black and had nothing on it! Was scared something went horribly wrong with the car.. I restarted twice and then it came back to normal

my car (aprile 2012) has realtime mpg display, its just one of theoptions can can toggel through including speedlimit display, range to empty, overall avergae fle consumption. Thought instant fule conbsumption was there by default. Perhaps you hadn't had it selected before - I think you can decid which ones you want to display from the computer. Might you just didn't have it ticked before?

I usually use the L/100km display (mpg) and enjoy it when it reads 0 L/100km and the car is still running.
