Liquid pooling under the rear of my wife's F10?
This is a weird one, but I have noticed on two occasions that my wife's 2012 F10 550xi has had a small (18" dia, approx) pool of liquid on the garage floow underneath the trunk area. The pooling tends to collect directly under the passenger side muffler. The liquid feels a little tacky - not like water, but not like oil. No discernable smell (and I don't want to taste it ).
Anyone else seen this, or ideas on what this might be? I live in Portland, OR and even though we get a fair amount of rain here both instances occurred on dry days where there was no opportunity for water to collect underneath the car.

Mine does that too, I have checked under the car and is condensation; it comes from the back of the exhaust silencer on the passanger side... is not fuel, is not oil, is water condensation at least on mine....

Sure does sound like normal exhaust condensation. I get that on mine too and since there isn't a smell, that eliminates everything else I can think of.
As Xmen mentioned, it should only happen on short trips. |

Many thanks for the replies! I'll ask her about the trip duration, but her job is only about 6-7 miles away from home, so you probably nailed it.
Neither her previous car (2.8L Z4) or my current car (E92 M3) has exhibited this issue, so I'm guessing this is a design "feature" of the F10.
