550i M Sport Brakes Size vs Sport 550i
Can anyone tell me if the 550i M Sport comes with larger brakes compared to a 550i with the Sport package? On the F30s the M Sport 335i comes with larger front rotors. Are the 550i's the same?
Likewise, does the M Sport package lower the suspension? On the F30, the M Sport package drops the car 10mm over the sport F30. Does that hold true on the 550i? Hoping to pull the trigger soon on a 550i and am on the fence about the M Sport package. I think the looks are perfect (actually I have a hard time looking at the front a non-M Sport 550i, just don't find it very attractive, glad I don't have to stare at that nose while i am driving) but the prices on used M Sport 550i's are a little over my budget while I can pickup a lightly used 550i w/ Sport and Dynamic Handling packages for much less. Then maybe a while down the road I'd convert the front end. I do hope to track this beast on occasion so bigger brakes and lower suspension is attractive. Granted I know I can get some springs and lower a sport 550 and also install a BBK later if needed. On edit, I'm talking 2011/12 models. I know the 2013s have different packages etc... Good to know, thanks for the quick reply. With all things being equal it sounds like the m Sport package is mostly just for looks when compared to a non M Sport optioned with Sports and Dynamic Handling packages. Sport transmission is a must for me too...

Yes M sport adds the cosmetics to the sport suspension and mechanics that come with the regular sport package. Mine has M Sport and the Sport transmission package also as well as suspension too!
