M6 Muffler mod for F10 -$400 plus shipping
**SOLD** M6 Muffler modified for F10 chassis. $400 plus shipping. These are near ready-to-mount mufflers. Muffler has 2 1/2” transition inlet pipe for 550i and custom bent rod hangers for fitment onto F10 hanger points. Transition pipe would have to be modified or replaced to connect with 535i exhaust pipe. Otherwise, the new hanger rods should connect up just the same. Original M6 pipes were removed. Custom bent 2 1/4” exit stubs welded onto M6 muffler with 3 1/2” stainless dual wall round tip finishers. Tips fit into stock M Sport facia opening without modification, are staggered, and stick out about 1/2” from rear facia. These mufflers are used and prior history before I had them is not known. Muffler case is stamped Boysen, Made in Germany, BMW Manufacturer Part Number: 7-837-058-02 and 7-837-059-02 (Left & Right). I would like to ship UPS and if the transition pipe does not fit into box, I'll cut it off and pack it into the box loose. If interested, let me know your zip code and I'll get a shipping quote. Otherwise, local pickup (Los Angeles) is OK and we can skip the shipping charges. Last edited by HDEddie1; 02-16-2013 at 08:12 PM.. Reason: **SOLD** |

Do they sound different than OEM 550i mufflers?

The M Performance is awesome, but I wanted just a bit quieter sound and larger tips. I modified the tips on my M Performance and fitted some 3" dual tips outlet from Cybia and, while they look awesome, I wanted a larger profile on the end. So I jumped on these.

Hmm...I think it might be just the opposite. Maybe it was my V8, but the M6 mufflers on my car sounded like King Kong when I went WOT from a standstill.
Nevertheless, the M6 mufflers with quad tips are going to look killer on lakerholic's fine Carbon Black F10 M Sport on 20" Avant Garde rims. Let us know how it sounds! |
