Thinking about white line tail light set
I'd like to get white line tail lights for my f10. I think they might be an interesting detail on my jet black car. Does anyone have any impressions on them? On ordering and installing them?
I've seen them for sale at the following websites:
I've also seen posts that tried to smoke them to darken the look with varying degrees of success. It seems cool in theory. |

Seems like the popular opinion is pretty set against them!
In that case any mods you do recommend? Cosmetic or performance? A poster mentioned a BMS tune? Is this just a software update for the engine? |

It wouldn't do for us all to be the same. Get what you want on there, its your car. I think they look nice on white/grey cars. They might be too much on darker cars.

its obviously up to you at the end of the day, if you like them then thats what counts. If you're after opinions, then mine is that they look cheap and naff.
Looks like something you might buy in Halfords (car accessories and odds and sods in the UK) |

Look up LTMW's custom taillights that started life as whiteline. It does have a JDM flavor, where most of us started. It's clean and different, in a good way, per me.

I think it's great to get second opinions from people and that's what this forum is all about.
Before or after you get your opinions you need to figure some things out though. Are you about "style" or "fashion"? "Fashion" is all about what everyone else will like. (Could look really great or absolutely ridiculous depending on ones sensibilities!) "Style" is what YOU like and what makes you feel like an individual. (Same caveat as above) Figure out which is more important to you and go for it. In the end you're the one that has to drive it and look at it everyday.

I have a group buy going for these. Two of the 10 people I had lined up disappeared.
Please contact me if interested. OEM set for $495 shipped to continental US from Europe. This is what they look like on AW: |
