Alignment Report

I had my car lowered with H&R's about 4 months ago. Went for an alignment yesteday and the final report was still OFF. Front Camber left -0.9"
and right -0.7", where they are supposed to be between -0.6" - 0.2". everything else within the range/green. Mechanic told me not to worry to much since the numbers are off by not a lot and it would not impact my driving nor it wont consume my tyres. When I asked why did he not get this within the range he said that this was his first F10 and there was nowhere to adjust. Anyhow, has any of the guys that have lowered the car experiance anything like this? Any alignment shop suggestions here in the GTA area/Toronto? Thnx

I took mine directly to BMW, they charged me £50 and it drives absolutely beautiful now, what a difference it makes. I'm not lowered, but I've got 295 on rear and 265 on front so thought I better get the alignment sorted. BMW have a special machine to do it which is supposed to better than taking it to normal laser people.

I had it done by Pat at alltech and he is the one that has never done a F10 before and can't get it better. See the final sheet from alltech.
I will call Speedstar today and ask if they can help me. Thnx for your info.

that's very surprising indeed that Altech is unable to do it properly.

I had an alignment done at a BMW specialist in San Diego a few hundred miles after my Eibach installation. See this thread for that write-up:
http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthre...ghlight=eibach

It turned out that the BMW specialist's alignment report showed me an out of alignment condition but the BMW dealership checked and reported that it was actually quite good. Before you get too worried about a possible misalignment, take the car to a BMW dealer and have them check the alignment. They can do that for much less of a cost than actually doing the alignment. In USD, the alignment check cost $99, a full alignment cost $199.

There is no camber (or caster) adjustment on the front of an F10. Camber "out of spec" is due to changing the springs and the default suspension angles. I would not worry much as Dinan is now selling negative camber control arms to improve handling by increasing negative camber by -0.5°. Look at it this way: your measurements are only 0.1° and 0.3° degrees out which is almost nothing and you are getting close to the Dinan upgrade spec for free!

Best explanation ever. Thanks a lot. I will definitely leave it as is. Hahaha getting the upgrade for free. LOL

BMW makes camber adjustment control arms for the F10: 31126779908 for -0.5 deg and 31126779871 for +0.5 deg. Until someone make a camber kit for the F10 this is how adjustments are made.
