License Plate Holes
I recently got my 2013 535 and even though I asked them not to put the front license plate on they did anyway...
So I went to remove the plate and instead of just two holes there are 4... It looks like the person installing them had no clue... That said is there any body shops in CA that would only repair the holes and spot paint the area since its brand new or would the entire bumper need to get painted? If it's the entire bumper then I'm going to just put the plates on when they arrive... Any help or insight would be appreciated! Thanks! |

Same thing almost happened to me. Was at the dealership and saw a guy walking towards my car with an electric drill. Was lucky I saw him. Would not have been happy.

A good shop can paint the spots then blend everything without having to repaint the whole thing. It's going to be expensive though. I told them no plates on my msport front bumper and I got my wishes. If I was in your shoes I would of never signed. I would of made them get me a new bumper or a new car. That's a total deal breaker and if your wishes can't be meet think about another dealer. Good luck finding a solution

You can do the same thing by getting touch up paint, clear coat and panel plugs from auto zone. did this on my Altima and they came out perfect.

I would make the dealership give you a brand new painted bumper. That's only fair, unless you signed something that states they will install the plates.

Same issue here bought a 2011 and it had the front plate and 3 holes & 1 dimple looks like they used sheet rock screws. A local touch up guy here in the Bay area made the holes go away and now looks like they were never there. Now just have to wait a few more weeks to install the clear bra on the bumper

I picked up my car this Saturday. When I arrived. It was already on it. It's the only car with the specs I wanted within 120 mile radius. I drove it home. But I am bummed out
