I think it's lame to call it LCI as I won't see the difference if I see a F10 on the street whether it's an 2010 or a 2014..
The differences are way to minor to call it LCI and to give it reason for higher prices.. |

Read the differences, the car gets mechanical changes too (i.e. steering).

Which the F10 got, albeit a minor one. If a model already looks great (like the F10), it shouldn't get or need a big cosmetic overhaul for the sake of having one.

Exactly, thank goodness they didn't ruin a great design. Now as far as the F30 goes, when it is LCI time, the front end IMO needs a major facelift.

Thanks! I made a quick comparison picture. To me the new front is a lot sportier than the old one, while still keeping the classy look.

Good comparo's. The new LED's are really nice, but IMO the pre-facelift xenons are considerably nicer than the LCI xenons, which look a little "unfinished". Also if they use HALOGEN turn signals then it's a HUGE deal breaker. I couldn't go back to a car with those.
I never even noticed that the LCI eliminated the sharp cut on the upper bumper (next to the grille where it flows into the headlight) which provided a lean surface and shadow play next to the inside portion of the headlights. Now the bumper next to said headlights just kind of "melts down into" the headlights. Less defined a look, maybe less stately, maybe a little more sporty as it gives a smoother look. Though not as aggressive, IMO. The M Sport of course will be the only model to retain the pre-LCI "cut".

Just sat in a 3 Series and found the plastic on the new M Sport steering wheel to feel very hard and cheap and the buttons chintzy to the touch and click sounds. Is this the same one the 5 gets?
