My new 535d :)
Picked up my new 535d M Sport earlier this week
So... first things first... the standard of the valet before I picked up the car wasn't up to my standards.. water marks everywhere! So had to wash the car myself! Now looking good Really pleased with it... love the LED headlamps and love the multi function display!! Trying to stick to the running in period so haven't tried the power out yet |

You are going to love the Launch Control ... Just get past the run-in and then kick it You are also going to find out that in Sport+ mode, with the shifter to the left, if you put your foot down from standstill.... you would want to be on a straight dry road. The torque from this thing is immense... and even on a slightly wet road, the rears just love to spin and swerve. What a fabulous car... and in Jeremy Clarkson's words, something that Rudolh Diesel would have been proud of. Great buy...... enjoy !

very nice indeed.
LED headlights are one of the options I'd go for if I were replacing my pre lci 530d with a LCI. You'll have to try those out on some dark roads, although there is not many of those around London! I'm sure you will be impressed. be interested in what you think of the ride around London with a msport and 19 inch wheels. yeh get it run in first but I'm sure the performance will be amazing. I have a 530d and can vouch that this can be fast, today I came off the M25 on to the A308 and put the car into sport mode and put my foot almost to the floor and the acceleration is incredible. The amazing thing is that the car doesn't feel like its really trying! your 535d will be faster still. like the way its debadged, everyone will think its a 520d! (cue debate!)http://f10.5post.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif |

Yep I love the LED lights just for their looks .. transforms the front end and sets it apart from the other 5 series love the full LED indicators at the front as well
I live in a village not in London, so will be able to find a nice dark road easy enough .. annoyingly I've not had chance to do so yet, so need to make it a priority this week to try out the lights ! Debadged - lol know what you mean, I like it this way, and makes the rear nice and symmetrical .. and if it surprises someone off the lights then even more fun for me Have found out my car also has bluetooth audio streaming which it isn't supposed to have according to the tech specs, so happy with that!! |

Congrats on a lovely F10. I'd love to try a 535d someday, but not many of those here.

I think it nearer 1.8 tons
I think we all perhaps forget that there are a lot of cars out there (super minis etc) that are no where near this fast with 0-60 of over 10 seconds or more. |

AP, you have a good point, the peformance of even the 520d is pretty good compared ot other cars of the same size.
The last car I had was a 2.2 diesel and that took 11 seconds from 0-60 despite the fact it weighed about the same as a 3 series! |

Hi, No not that I've noticed .. I've done 800 miles so far so still sticking to under 3500 rpm, but not noticed anything like that .. does it happen at a particular rev range or speed? I'll pay closer attention tomorrow to see if I can notice anything, but nothing that I've noticed so far ..

Hope, the run in period is now complete; and you are enjoying your car.
How are you finding the ride quality with the 19" wheels? Did you opt for VDC or Adaptive Drive or is it on the standard M Sport suspension? I am just about to press the button on another 535; and was looking for feedback.
