Enthusiasts are a whole different ballgame. I was at Bimmerfest here in So. Cal a couple of weeks ago (huge gathering of BMW owners & vendors at a local Indy car/NASCAR/etc. racetrack) and the average age was maybe 30 tops.

The age in general maybe 55 but the enthusiast age seems to be right around the mid 30's... I came from a 3 series...I'm curious to see how many of you graduated up from 3 to 5.

The op posed a question about the statistical average age of an F10 owner, not forum members ages.

i am 34.
my first BMW is the active hybrid 5. but have also been into personalising my cars from my first - vauxhall vector, vauxhall zafira, subura tribeca, audi Q7, and now 5 series and MINI cooper s JCW. i have 3 kids 8, 11 and 14 and the 3 series was too small across the back for them to all fit. 5 series is fine, but transmission tunnel doesn't go down well with who ever sits in the middle. i wanted and X5, had the chance for a E70 X5M, instead of the active hybrid but mrs. sensible preferred the 5er. |

I'm 30. Came from an E90 M3 and an E86 z4m coupe before that. The F10 is super comfortable to drive but I do really miss the performance of an M car. I'll prob move on to an F80 M3 a few years down the line.
