Balancing weights
What do you think of the old foam being partially left on, wheel scratched and new weight put on top of old foam? Car is less than a year old and this is the first tyre change, so the wheel was as new. There are more scratches under the foam...

Bad workmanship... plus it looks as if the end weight is not on a solid base. ???
Old sticky foam does require careful removal, a plastic tool (credit card) will get virtually all of it off without marking, then a bit of cleaner like white spirit. |

WD40 is really good for getting rid of sticky residue. I'd be more than unhappy with that mess and I'm not convinced it will stay the on the wheel either. Thankfully having a different set of winter wheels means I can keep both sets close to perfect.

Thanks guys, pretty much my views, but it's good to get a second opinion as I know I am fussy. Have written a stinking email so will see what response I get if any!
