Camber adjustment required after lowering?
Ok. So I'm set on KW street comfort coilovers.
Wondering if I need a camber kit to normalize the camber. Another friend told me it's not camber but toe that I shold be worried about. My previous lowered ride suffered from inside tyre wear due to lowering springs and I'm keen to avoid that. Im on 20s. Advice appreciated. |

Most lowering kits come with instructions that the wheel adjustments needs to be checked and realigned after lowering. At least European kits with TÜV approvals do.
Normally you should be able to stay within the factory tolerances, without the need for aftermarket camber kits, as long as you lower between 20-40mm (or even 60mm in many cases). I had my car at BMW after I put on my Eibach Pro Kit, They adjusted camber and toe to spec. My F10 has not had any wear issues on the inside of the rear tires, but my previous E60 did (and that was on factory M-Sport suspension...) |

They said that they have only one specification for SE / M sport. Other specs were for M5. What did you dealer say to you? PS: On E9x, there was standard settings and then there was ZCP settings.

It was common that BMW (and other manufacturers) used to have a different spec for "sports suspension". Not sure if that is still true for the F10 though... |

My garage with hunter tracking machine stated that SE and m sport have same settings for cars without variable suspension. Then with variable suspension there is separate settings. And last one for M5. Would like to see photo of your settings...

Just under the yellowed out area it says: BMW * 5-er F10 * sports suspension, lowered * not active steering * wheel diameter: 19" So my dealer seemingly had the option to specify sports suspension and lowered... |

For instance my front camber has a base setting of -0deg 40' and has a +/-30' tolerance. If your datasheet has different camber settings than mine, then that would indicate different settings available for "sports suspension, lowered". Before adjustments my front camber was -0deg 44' (left) and -0deg 43' (right) After adjustments my front camber is -0deg 43' (left) and -0deg 39' (right) Before adjustments my rear camber was -2deg 10' (left) and -1deg 50' (right) After adjustments my rear camber is -1deg 46' (left) and -1deg 44' (right) |

Here is my setup Front after adjustment -0deg 38' (left) and -0deg22' Rear after adjustment -2deg 11' (left) and -2deg'15 (right) Comparing my and your setup whose wheel will be more inclined toward out at the bottom? Now garage says that they had hunter machine and only had one setting.

Toe is the tire killer.
Also, the F10 suspension is double wishbone design, which there is no camber adjustment. The only way to alter the camber degree is by altering the ride height. Adjusting toe might have a slight effect.
