A local member who does this in his spare time did the work. Well, to be fair to myself, we did it together. It is not not as easy as other cars I have changed the suspension on, but it is doable if you are mechanically inclined.

I dont have M-Sport on mine so I wonder how much it wil be lowered. It is higher front than rear which looks really stupid, but thats all F11 touring cars. |

I don't have the M Sport, but I have the Sport package. I don't believe there is any difference in height with those packages though.

Now I just have to find out which shop here in Jakarta does a corner balance..
One shop in West Jakarta area claimed that they are one of the experts in wheel alignment business here. I'll call them up tomorrow to find out... Seems authorized coilover dealers here just do sales and marketing (and basic installation) and doen't bother to do a corner balance... |

Interesting post... After installing the ACS, we noticed a wierd sound coming from the dash-back engine area. Would notice at slow speeds, hitting bumps or uneven road.. Took it back to shop and had them retighten and check everything.. Noise still there, looked at every option for the noise and never found anything??? Does the noise you all are hearing sound similar to this?? I have actually just tried to ignore it since, but this noise issue makes me curious...

any track junky please correct me if im wrong: progressive springs are better suited for track use while linears are better suited for daily street driving |

Speaking of lowering: What's the status on warranty? Would it get void?

I know that the ACS spring noise was issue on some of their earlier production springs that turned out to be the coils rubbing against themselves - ACS's cure was to put a sleeve on the spring, similar to a hose. But that issue has been corrected in the later production springs. I've been running my ACS springs on my car for over 2 years and haven't had any suspension issues at all. But then again I had my springs installed at a shop that does this type of work on European cars - maybe they know a few tips and tricks that they learned after the first few?

Reviving an old thread because I have a 14' 535 with base suspension, and the age old question is what is out there that does not produce noise, offers comfort, and just calms down the body lean in turns, bounce, dive, squat - just tighten it up while keeping the comfort.
Had the Dinan BMW dealer advise to only go Springs, stick with OEM dampers, stick with Dinan over KW because you won't get noise. But then a lot of members have gone with ACS, which apparently no longer has noise issues, at least for the last 4 years. Any updates? Thanks! Last edited by Desmond79; 12-17-2016 at 01:41 AM.. |

I have acs springs on my 2014 550i, I just had them installed in May 2016.
I haven't had any noise issues on mine, so it looks like this has been resolved. I love the ride quality, (very slightly firmer than stock) however, it has eliminated the floatiness and dive/squat of the OEM springs. and the 1" drop is perfect for me. |

And another point - was it the coilover or the install? Don't know. Would like others to chime in... As to me, before my consult tomorrow with an installer, my thoughts are ACS Springs, Koni Sports, 550 Rear Sway Bar ... and someday, maybe they'll make decent RFT... |
