Door unlock problem F10 5 Series 2011
Hey all
My BMW F10 (5 series 2011) doors have stopped opening by the remote controls (tested both). The boot/trunk opens and the Alarm switches off however the only way to open the door is using the Key. In addition to this once you're in the driver side door all the others can’t be opened from the inside as they a dead locked (double pull doesn't work). I've tried checking fuses with no luck. Disconnected the battery for an hour as well, no luck. (when I disconnected the battery I shut the boot/trunk, believe me it wasn't fun working that one out) Does anyone have any ideas, even recommendations of fuses to check? |

I just dropped mine off this morning with a similar problem. The passenger front door would occasionally just not open. If I hit the unlock button you could see it try and fail. They called and said the switch in the door failed and needs to be replaced.

Right, persevered with fuse testing and managed to resolve the issue. a fuse had blown, but it meant testing everyone. Its one of the fuses in the glove box near the top of the board. Im gutted I didn't record which one it was.

I had a 2013 535 (Unlocked when it felt like it after I touched the handle) took it to the dealer told them I don't like the car doing what it wants and they said there was a glitch in the program and fixed it quick, then traded it in for a 13 550 and guess what same damn problem.

I had this problem today.
Managed to fix it with replacing a blown fuse, for me it was fuse number 14. I found it ridiculous that the fuse to replace was behind the glovebox so had to climb over from driverside, as all other doors were locked and even a double pull wouldn't unlock them. What concerns me is if there is anyway to open the 'deadlocked' doors in an emergency? Even starting the car the doors would still not unlock, does anyone know a fail-safe? |
