Squeaky, creaking, and noises when driving
I bought a 2016 F10 535i M-sport in may 2016, and the car has been doing well until 2 months ago. This is my first BMW and it has not been a year since I’ve owned it and it sounds like its falling apart. The car has not been in an accident and has not been through a body shop at all. I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced these issues as well? I have listed what I am experiencing below.
My driver side door sounds like there is something loose in the panel, and it sounds like something is jiggling in there when I drive over bumps or uneven roads. My driver seat creaks a lot whenever I sit in it and move around. Whenever I go over bumps, the back seat area makes a noise like something is shifting around inside the door panels. There is nothing in the backseat, rear side storage spaces, or the trunk. The odd thing is I notice the sound only when the windows are all the way up and is absent when the windows are rolled down. I have soft closing doors, and whenever I close the driver side doors, it makes a squeaky noise when it is sealing shut. This only happens on my driver side door. Also hear lots of rattling noises inside the cabin whenever I drive on bumps or uneven roads. I still need to take it into the dealership for them to look at, but I wanted to know is this normal with BMW? Thanks! |

No it is not normal. I have a 2012 535i and I only have noises when I hit a very rough patch of road, and then it is just the "bang" and not interior noises such as you are describing

Not normal, and the for the few squeaks and rattles that I've had on mine, BMW has gone to great lengths to fix. Make sure you sit in the car and drive it while demonstrating it to the tech or service Manager. If you just drop it off, they will usually say "no problem found" unless its glaringly obvious.

I've read post where guys would notice the same things too! Some of them were able to fix them...some not. I couldn't even find the links to those threads since it's been awhile. Try typing "squeaks" and see what you come up with.
I know my rear end squeaks when I go over speed bumps but only when I have passengers in the back. But been too lazy to see what's causing it lol!
