Need some pricing help
So I am considering of putting my beloved 2013 550 xdrive with 29k miles on the selling block. I am trying to price it right and am seeking your opinion. She still has factory warranty until July of this year, CPO until 2019 and I also got an extra year of maintenance, until 2018. She's Alpine White, pretty much fully loaded minus adaptive cruise, & ventilated seats. I took the run-flats off and have summer tires and winter tires on OEM wheels.
What say you? Thanks. First thing you want to do is go to KBB and check what it says there.
Next, go to Craiglist and find comparable cars to post it for average price. Also, how many miles? |

I've considered selling mine as well and I've been shocked at some of the trade-in offers I've been given for it (a '13 535 m-sport w/ 48K miles on it). I've been quoted (sight unseen) anywhere from $21K to $24K which are a joke considering just how nice the car is. It's basically in as-new condition w/ a full paint correction and CPO remaining warranty until April 2019 or 100K miles of course. The value of these cars seems to have tanked in just 12 months' time. I paid $38K for it 1 year ago from BMW of Wilmington with 38K miles on it in stock form and I feel like I've greatly improved its condition & appearance since. I can't imagine the car has lost $17K in value in 1 year. If it continued at that rate, I'd be subject to donating it in two years lol...just awful. That said, I think $34K-$35K for yours is a fair price.

They offer you $24K, advertise it for $33Kish (just a guess) then take $32Kish (another guess) making the new owner think they got a deal. Even the '14 we recently purchased was listed for ~$37.5 and we got it for &36,600. This was a lease return so I have no idea what the dealer paid for the car, but I imagine it was in the low 30's.
