Remove idrive knob
Anyone know how to remove the iDrive controller knob? I have a new top piece (different graphics than the 4 arrows. I did some google search and saw some "step by step" pictures, but they seems like "here a miracle occurs" in that they don't actually show you how the top of the knob comes off.
Thanks, Filippo

Sorry I'm being a bit dense. When you say pry out the black part, are you saying pry it out from the silver ring that surrounds it? It seems like there is a black ring around the black plate, between the plate and silver ring. I've attached a photo ...
Thanks, Filippo

Got it. Do you insert the flat head inside the black edge beading or outside the edge beading (by silver edge)? I just want to make sure I clearly understand and don't screw up :-D
Thanks, Filippo

If memory serves, closest to the arrows. You should see a small gap. |
