Factory 19in Xdrive setup for F11?
Hi,
Cant seem to nail this one definitively and need advice. For winter I have 18x8 ET33 all around. Tyres are 245-45-18. I also own a set of 245-40 R19 Michelin pilot sport tyres. What 19in rims are supposed to be a square fit that matches factory xdrive fit? I heard it is 19x8.5 ET 33 or would it still be 19x8 ET 33? Please help me clarify this. Wanna buy the 8.5 rim ET 33 for a square setup but not sure if this is correct and inline with factory settings. Dont want to go staggered on my car as not in specs per 19in wheel sizes to the best of my knowledge. Bad experience here also fitting breyton GTS 20x8 ET 35 over brand new brakes. Not enough clearance. Had to sell em, not a fan of spacers. EDIT: Answer confirmed: 19x8.5 ET33, and 245-40 R19 tyres.

Thank you! Will 245-40 19 tyre be a good fit close to OEM?

Yes, 245/40/19 is the OEM size for the 19x8.5 wheels.

Because of the extra pressure it adds on the hubs and because I dont feel comfortable putting one rim on top of some non OEM made component that I have no idea where it comes from. Its just me. I can put a taiwan produced plastic grilles, but when it comes to brakes, tyres, etc, I like to stick with OEM. BMW never puts spacers on stock cars.... There are other schools of thought on this, like if you drive daily it doesnt matter. But why add extra weight and risk some bolts snapping... Also, where I live winters are bad, so all the salt, corrosion there.. just not for me.

Mine has square 19" 245 setup, but I will get staggered 20" this year. However, any x-drive F10/11 should be able to run the same staggered set. |

The style 434 and 356 comes as 8,5x20 et 33, and 9x20 et 44, the style 610 comes with same spec in 19". All other 19" and 20" are square. Though 0,5" difference front and rear can hardly be called staggered Also the offset looks weird. The square setup is 8,5" et33mm all round. But the 9" staggered one is 44mm. 0,5" wider wheel is 12,5mm wider, if it had remained at 33mm it would have "poked out" 6mm more than the square setup. But then BMW change the offset to 44mm, moving the wheel inwards 11mm. Essentially making the staggered rear wheel sit 5mm further in than the square one. |
