Which sway bar for 2015 535i drive?
I have a 2015 535i xdrive and I looking to buy a set of sway bars. In my search I keep getting does not fit my model.
I have look at H&R - model numbers 70470 (F) and 71470 (R) and most sites say it does not fit my car. Anyone knows if those will fit or can suggest ones that do? Thanks in advance. |

Eibach for F10 RWD will fit. They were much too stiff for Chicago's lousy roads. Do some research on M5 front and 650i rear, which will also fit and are softer, but still too stiff for me.
I ended up with the KW V3 coilovers, which I like much better. The car is far superior to stock in every way. Good luck. |

Did you put the stock sway bars back on with the KW V3? That is the route I thought about going. |

If you go this route, get the K3 installed by someone who is really good with alignments as the K3 will drop the car a minimum of about 3/4" which makes the alignment a tricky business. The KW website will list authorized dealers in your area. If I had to do the job again, I would give the job to an authorized KW dealer. Good luck. |

They fit on mine, but I agree that H&R, Eibach, etc... all indicate that they aren't for the X-Drive. There's always the possibility that there's another reason other than fit - overstressing some suspension component perhaps? You just never know.

It is little more stiff than the stock springs; however, comfortable. These H&R springs are specific to x-Drive. Keep in mind that my struts are stock. I frequently drive to Los Angeles, and San Diego, no complaints on ride quality.
As for the M5/6 sway bar combo, it helped in the cornering dept. I considered thicker bars but didn't want to get too aggressive. The OEM upgrade is a good compliment to the springs. Last edited by John H.; 07-12-2018 at 05:37 PM.. |

I’m sold on the V3, but still on the fence with the sway bars. |

Hi Andy:
No V3, only H&R springs. My suspension related mods... H&R Springs, 50471 OEM M5 Front Sway, 31352284460 OEM 6 Rear Sway, 33556791932 I purchased the front sway from a local Member. It was the first thing installed. IF I remember correctly, the springs next, and finished with the rear sway (ordered from ECS). Last edited by John H.; 07-13-2018 at 04:31 PM.. Reason: Added info. |

The H&R set 33894-1 fits perfectly whatever xDrive or not. I've got it installed a year ago, and honestly this is the best simple upgrade for its money. Drive and cornering is now as it should be.
I didn't go for M5/650 set because it is thinner. And also the M5 sway bar has different angles so install is possible but not totally good. Joint bolts will be tilt out. Please see below some pics of the process. Last edited by valbmw; 08-30-2018 at 03:00 AM.. |
