Hello,

I was driving my 2011 F10 520D today to work as usual. Next thing I know at around 60mph my Revs go to 0, my steering wheel locks as if it's been parked and my brake does not work! After pressing the start stop button repeatedly whilst still not being able to stop/steer the wheel releases and I managed to pull over.

The drive train error came up but once the car was restarted there were no errors/lights and the car was running a bit lumpy. Anyone have any thoughts as to what this could be?

I must say this was not only extremely dangerous but also quite terrifying!

Many thanks

Sounds like you went through an emp blast zone and lost all power..

Get your alternator/battery checked and then ensure the engine wiring harnesses are in decent shape

Wow.. that's crazy. I've gotten the drivetrain malfunction a few times while driving but I had all electronics still. I was able to shut the car off and restart while driving and the error was cleared.
