BootMod3 N55
Hey guys, hoping for a bit of help here. The BootMod3 support is great but due to time zone differences (I’m in Australia) we can only exchange one message per day 😞.
Anyway, so I bought a BM3 license and managed to flash my car successfully. At first the DME wasn’t supported but the BM3 guys fixed that up for me by sending me a new coding file. Flashing failed the first few times, and the car wouldn’t start so I went to get a battery charger which fixed it. I was then able to fix most of the errors via the online coding function. There are several issues (and hopefully not more undiscovered ones) that I cannot get rid of, and hoping you guys can shed some light on this for me:
The Online Coding has not fixed these issues. 2012 F10 535i N55 OTS Stage 1, 91 Oct Thanks in advance! |

Did you try flashing back to stock, making sure those things work again, and then re-flash Stage 1?

Kudos to them for fast replies, but the timezone difference means their 9am-5pm support hours are 1am-9am my local time. |

I have a 2012 535i as well, I have not had any of those issues with BM3. Good luck OP, keep us posted.

Worked great with no errors. However, I was getting low-RPM surges, and on top of that, not much power low down. Decided to flash to stock and back again, but this time it seems as though the flash didn't stick? Low RPM surges are gone but it feels like the car is stock. I'll try again over the next few days, otherwise I'll sort it out when I'm back from my upcoming holiday |

Phone would be more convenient, but not necessary (you need to purchase an additional adapter). I already had an E-Net cable from coding so didn't see the value. Unless you're going to be data logging or switching maps a lot, I would go with the laptop.

Previously I had the same white cable that you had (KDAN) for coding my E90, but it was not compatible with my F10 (you can make it compatible by assigning an IP to the USB connection I think - there are guides somewhere, but I found it easier just to buy an ENET cable). mike@x-ph.com includes a free ENET cable with BootMod3 sales. As for the Wifi/Bluetooth adapter you already have, I believe that cannot be used as the BootMod3 agent is actually just a wireless hotspot adapter. The connection would still be ENET cable -> Wireless Agent (powered by USB) -> Phone. I have not used the Wireless Agent before, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Just basing this on my understanding of what the agent does. If you're feeling up to it, you can try make your own Wireless Agent following this DIY: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1484555 |

Other than that I've enjoyed mine, haven't had too many issues.
