FWIW, I ran across a HUGE thread which I believe was F30 related. Apparently there were (silently) different part numbers there which were valid in different markets. Apparently factory-equipped PEs, and those delivered as parts for Canada and most of the EU were "quiet" and didn't sound different from stock, while those delivered as parts in the US market and some other areas were "loud" and "real". I can't remember where I saved it, if I find it I'll link it here just for interest. But, that explains why I saw all kinds of MPE-equipped 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s in my market (Canada) that were so quiet you could hardly tell they had MPE. I was always wondering why (predominantly US origin) Youtube videos and my car were so distinctly louder. Now I know. EDIT: Here's one: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=978407 The #340 (US Version) is the real PE that sounds good, and the #339 is the EU/Canada version that still costs $2k and sounds almost like stock. 18302354339 vs 18302354340 Things you don't know until you really dig....
