Whistle after acceleration
I notice a slight whistle coming from the engineer of my car when accelerating. I never thought much of it, but tonight it was loud. Should I be concerned? The car is a 2015 535i xdrive with 40,000 miles on it.

Subscribed. 2015 528 xdrive, hear a whistle when accelerating, it's more noticeable above 2k rpms. Can you also hear the whistle get quieter as the RPMs go down? Tried turning hvac system off to see if it was related but whistle remained. Believe it may be transmission or possibly pulley related.

A whistle under acceleration might be related to the turbo? In some turbo engines (not generally in the N55) you can hear an audible whistle as the turbo spools up.

My car does the same thing. The whistle sound comes on when accelerating and fades away as RPM drops. I was thinking there might be a boost leak somewhere ...
