Delighted I found this thread, gave me the info to do the seat and drivers handle on my 100k F11.
Did the driver’s side bolster with the leather touch up pen. It’s not perfect but a it is a huge improvement I’d say. Only thing is the bit that has been treated (2 coats) looks extremely clean and even though the rest of the seat is clean it contrasts a bit. Hopefully as it gets used it will patina in nicely. It must be some sort of vinyl paint as when you press the cushion it stretches and wrinkles nicely. I think that’s what Dakota leather is anyway, low grade leather painted a specific colour. Overall very pleased for £6 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F272958739626 |

I have a 11 535xi with 100k miles. I live in the southeast US so temps are often 80-100 degrees F. Driver door panel (inside the 'cup') and passenger are both melted.. (Passenger handle). The material that's coming off is honestly like a clay texture.. I have the cinnamon brown Dakota interior. I was able to purchase some electrical tape that has an exact color match and apply that on the inside of the handles. It works for now and looks great, but it's pretty annoying that this happens on an 80k car.
