2013 550i Mufflers (M-Sport)
I recently put on 650i M-Sport mufflers on my 550i, and am therefore selling my stock ones. From what I understand, these are exactly the same as the non-M-Sport mufflers - with the only difference being that the tips are black. These would be great for someone going back to stock, or maybe someone with an I6 looking to change the look. Pictures were taken right after they were taken off, so excuse the dirt. Once cleaned, these will look great. Local pickup only, due to weight and the cost associated. Last edited by AmooManiak; 01-25-2020 at 04:51 PM.. |

Out of curiosity, how much different do the 650i cans sound vs the stock 550is? Better? Louder?
Good luck with the sale. |

It's a night and day difference. They look identical, but the 650i exhaust actually makes the car sound like a V8. When I went from a 550i to a 650i years ago, the exhaust was the biggest surprise to me.
Being back in a 550i, I'm glad that the rumble is back with this exhaust. I would put it above the M5 retrofit I had in my old 550i. |

Sorry to keep hijacking this thread, but forgot to ask, how much welding was needed to get them to fit? I assume the original hangers don't line up. Thx.

All the hangers and vacuum line line up perfectly, but the issue is that the piping is different. The only modification that was needed is create a small custom section to connect the pipes. This is why I like this mod as it keeps all the stock hangers for the most part.

That's awesome. I wish I knew about this before I bought the Dinans last week (have yet to install them). I love the civilized V8 sound and would have saved me a lot of $$$.
I really hate how much crap BMW has made F10 550i owners go through to make their cars sound decent. Quote:

If anyone wants these for free, let me know. I will throw them out next week. Car has been sold, and this is just taking up space at this point.
