Hello, can someone confirm if when retrofitting NBT in LCI model car, it's required to trim and rotate usb cable? or only pre lci cars need to do that?
i've F10 LCi from September 2015, with 6.5 small screen. I've one NBT unit (new CID cable, Screen, NBT unit, idrive controller and USB cable for NBT in case i need to install it). The Unit is already coded for my car/vin.
I know that some people had to trim and rotate 180º the usb cable from factory that goes into the NBT unit.
My question is, since i'm LCI, do i need to do the same or will my factory usb cable work?

Most likely you should be good to go as is. Does your 6.5 inch screen have the layout similar to CIC or to NBT? In terms of the red ring around the dial on the screen?

It's like NBT, the layout/colors and that red ring around the dial.
Do you think i have to shave the usb cable and rotate it? I've read in some forums where some people could just plug the cable without doing any modification, they had HU_entry/Champ2 on LCI models too.
