Unfortunately, no. That's the price we have to pay when we go CF diffuser. Mine will randomly work, but that's <0.5%. I've given up on trying and a year later, I've gotten used to life without it. It's not so much the CF as it is the FRP in the diffuser. You may have some luck if you can find a pure CF diffuser, but as far as I know only M Performance has that, and obviously none are available except for M5.

Link or part# for this? I'll be doing this soon, and would love to keep this feature too.

51128053585 is the part number, not sure if it'll make a difference though. It's mostly used to solve the issue of the M sport one not accepting genuine M5 diffusers.

mine stopped working normally / easily when i put on the m5 diffuser (had to relocate the CA sensor i believe)
only time it works consistently is if i'm washing the car and i spray the area between the tips...and if the key is in my pocket it will open the trunk consistently... |

Lol, ditto for me when I'm washing the car as well or working underneath it. Basically, it works always when I DON'T need it to.

Yes, install original diffuser Or you can install M5 (non-CF) diffuser for which you'll need adapter bracket. This is what I did after installing and removing CF diffuser.
