i used Betalink when i installed my carbon fiber 3d rear spoiler just because i didn't want to deal with the 3m or gorilla tape not holding. it's sorta like an epoxy i guess?

I am talking about the roof spoiler, not the trunk spoiler. It is glued to the window, not the paint. So you should be fine. I can send a pic if you'd like.

For the trunk I only used tape. The roof spoiler only has two points of contact, the trunk lid has a huge contact patch so it's fine with tape IMO.

i used gorilla tape on my roof spoiler. still holding strong after almost 5 years now

AH! you have a contact patch across the whole window. I'd do that too... Mine only has a 2 contact points. I'll post a pic later.

Yea I got pretty much full contact so the tape is holding up strong so far. That being said I've only driven it a few times being that we're in a SIP.

i believe that's the Hamann style roof spoiler and that's why there's only two points of contact. i really like that design and almost went with that

haha that's the reason why i went with both the roof and trunk spoiler as they flow very well together

it's some kind of new asphalt. heard it's cheaper plus very easy to see painted lines on it
