N63tu: Who has done methanol?
What are the problems since there is no JB4 to control it?
Are there pre-threaded pipes for nozzle attachment? What nozzle size? Who's parts do you use? How much boost can you run with 50/50 meth/H2O? How much power? |

Why are you talking about meth ? Get bolted and tuned then worry about meth.
It can be done. Badblack who has a 2013 has done it (identical setup as 2014+) no gains were found. |

It doesn't make sense to use it on a daily driver.
I suggest you use some bolt on upgrades and a tune first. If you decide you need more power, then upgrade the turbos and supporting mods. When that is not enough at the drag strip, that is when you venture into methanol/water injection. Meth/water injection is used to cool down the intake for you to temporarily boost higher and advance timing. With the small stock turbos, I don't see much of a point. It won't help you on the street, only on the strip. The only time I ever considered it was when I lived near a drag strip and owns a 3000GT as my project car. |

I know this is old but how little was known aboutthen63tu when this post went up. the last poser mentioned he only considers it when wanting to cool while on the track.
I found this post to instal in my daily, i bet many 550i, 650 etc owners had wished they had invested the $500.00 to save their blowne ngine. Blackbear, I hope you found your Meth before it was too late. I like that eventhough people triedto talk you out of it you went on, as you should have, never let someone else talk you out of a gut feeling, its funny that now cars are coming from the factory with drug problems...(the are installing meth at the OEM) |
