Problem solved, new FRM from a donor car with adaptive function fixed the issue.

Awesome! Enjoy the LED headlights, I think its one of my favorite and most functional mods. The high beam on LEDs is definitely brighter than the Xenons and overall look is great!

So after reading the thread through I feel a little lost.
I have a Bmw 550i E60 LCI 2008 With cic navigation and the following options: - 522 Xenon Light - 524 Adaptive Headlights - 5AC Autom. High-beam Headlights Control for the full list of options in my car is here: https://bimmer.work/vin/c77631e77803...c79d2d3306661/ So I would like to get the Adaptive LED headlights, I have to figure out how to fit the headlights on the car. But the real struggle is that if looking at the wire diagram of an f07 for example The headlights are connected to the footwell (FRM module) Which I assume makes the communication with wheel level sensor and so on. The e60 doesn't have the FRM module so this needs to be retrofitted if possible? That module is cabled up to a lot of stuff in a car I see. Wire diagram of the e60: Any suggestions, meanings or learning for this project would be helpful Wire diagram of f07 Power supply, LHML LED main light |

Wow, you're trying to retrofit OEM LEDs into a platform (E60) it was never offered on and doesn't have the necessary bus architecture to support... this thread will be of no help to you..
Set aside all the physical/mechanical changes required up front, where are you going to get the CAN-3 bus from to enable your modules to even talk to the car?? How will your car even know that it should be talking to these new modules?? I won't say its impossible, but why would you even attempt this route? |

Interested in what people are paying for a pair of used LCI adaptive LED headlights? I'm considering an aftermarket headlight, but only if I'm able to sell my OEM lights for a decent amount. Car has 67k miles (108k kms) and lights are in good used shape, no scratches or large blemishes, just good clean used condition.

Hello mates,
This is for a 2013 Pre LCI M5 with a 2013/06 build date. As per the VIN decode it has, i. Pre LCI Adaptive Xenons (522 & 524). ii. FRM3 with 2 Row SWE iii. ZGW-02 8SK These are just based on the VIN. Didn't remove them and see for myself. So as per the findings listed in this thread I don't need anything else? Is it just coding that I need? |
