N55 fuel pump question

So I was recently receiving long starts. And I believe it is the Hpfp that is also what my mechanic told me and to replace it.
These are the codes I got on bimmer link.

No check engine. But car does shake vigorously. Gives a drivetrain malfunction if on idle for too long on P (Park). (Guessing) bc of the fuel pump tweaking at low rpm's.

I see there are two kinds. One for 600-800 dollars and one for 250. Now like every other car guy I want to pay for the 250 one lol. I know being that my car is a 2011 it uses the old one. But there is a newer one with an "adapter" Wondering if I can put the newer one on the older f10. Either way I'm gonna spend the money. Just want to know if I can put the updated fuel pump on the older n55 model. Thank you

I'll chime in on this since I'm in the process of swapping an later model n55 with the newer style hpfp. This is not really feasible unless you wanted to go through a ton of trouble coding the dme and splicing in the harness. I'd would check and see if your hpfp was recall I know bmw send out a recall out for these. If this was my car I would purchase the pump with fcpeuro for the life time warranty. Don't bother with cheap pump considering this is so important and that may failed and caused major damage to the engine.
