Then it's highly doubtful that you purchased "the same" Original BMW Accessory M Performance Pedal Facing Retrofit kit for the F10.

Fixed a little chip in the glass today. I maaaay have made it worse by causing a small crack to expand when I was pushing down on the fill device. Will know soon enough...

Funny you should say that. About 6 years ago, I brought my car in to have a large chip repaired. The chip repair ended up causing a large crack to form while the shop was doing it. The shop (one of the usual windshield repair / replace shops) replaced my windshield for free! They even threw in some extra wiper blades.

Sounds like a good shop!!!
I'm hoping this little crack (hairline, really slight) is stable and doesn't grow any. What is really frustrating is the chip was pretty small, maybe 4mm or so and could have been ignored easily.

Sigh...

Looked at the battery positive cable underfloor and it did not look too good. It's probably time for a new cable.

I bought a 2011 535i. I’m excited to start modding it. I had some spare wheels that I put on my e60 that were just collecting dust in my shed since my e60 has different wheels now. I was told they wouldn’t fit but they do and it’s very flush. 20x9 20 offset in front and 20x10 20 offset in the rear.Name: IMG_0143.jpg

Last week I noticed a slight coolant leak looking down at the belly pan:

Got around to crawling underneath it today to take a look. No one spot that I could see (didn't pressurize it), but I think radiator seams. Inlet/outlet looked good as well as the thermostat. Anyway, I ordered some Liqui Moly Radiator Stop Leak and threw it in to see if it did anything. Initial results driving for about a half hour show zero noticeable leaking. I didn't get back under, but just checked where it was previously accumulating. Fingers crossed this works for a minute and doesn't fail catastrophically on my wife driving to Phoenix or something! I have a new rad and hoses in my FCP cart, ready to go if I see any leaks happening.

Just picked up a 2014 550i. Engine bay hadn't been cleaned in what looks like years. Had to remedy it.

IND delivered my new lip spoiler today! I love the look. It changes the whole impression of the car- especially with the cashmere silver color.

Tried to get rid of this gunk from my rims with no luck. Used iron x and also tried clay. Anyone has other suggestions?

From the photo it appears to be surface contamination. I’m surprised clay didn’t do it. I had similar issues and a bit of time spent with clay after a good wash did the trick for me. The clay really pulled out the contamination. Is the clay bar getting black when you run it over the area? Could just really be built up in that section and may take a bit of time to remove it all.

Make sure you don’t have the “soft” style clay. I know I’ve seen different levels listed online. For your use you’ll probably want the most aggressive you can find. I think I used some of the grey clay from Chemical Guys when I did my wheels.

As a more aggressive move, you could try some fine scotch brite pads, such as the white colored ones. But these will most likely cause the painted area to become a bit dull. Similar to a fine sandpaper finish. Not sure if you could then compound and polish the area. I’ve never tried on my wheels. If you’re not too worried about the final finish you could try a spot that’s fairly hidden.

I used glass clay Griot's, I believe) that may have been a little soft. Black stuff did get on the clay and I kept rotating it. I will try to order the clay you mentioned and give it a shot. Thank you!
