Back in the F10 crew!! '13 550ix msport
I was active in this group with my 2011 535xi, which I sold in 2019 for a 2016 340ix (B58 6cyl).
Well I’ve sold the 3er picked up the hot-v I’ve always wanted this week… and oh my f#@king god is this thing insane. My 340 had 56k miles, this guy has 98k. But- I was able to pocket about $6k cash difference between the two as emergency fund. I’m considering doing an aftermarket warranty, so any feedback there is appreciated. Details: -2013 BMW 550XI MSport -Alpine White w/ shadow line trim package -Black Dakota leather w/ active adjust sport seats -Heads up display -Heated & Cooled Seats Aftermarket upgrades: -Burger JB4 tune and Exhaust muffler diverter w/ remote valve control. -BMW 6 piston brakes (these things are HUGE) -Burger pedal tuner Upcoming: -Removing that damn ‘M’ from the 550 badge… -I’m researching adding in road sign recognition and how much that would be. I enjoyed that feature in my 340. -Perhaps some twin fin style black kidney grills. -Nothing else is coming to mind really. I made some wheel updates to my 340 and found that I was constantly blowing sidewalks on Milwaukee potholes and experiencing such a harsh ride. So I may run stock for the next year and see what presents itself. I’d thought of powder coating the wheels in black, but I was constantly trying to maintain the black 666M’s on my 340.. any kind of scratch just showed right thru. |

Those are actually factory 550i rotors and calipers, not 6 piston. Someone just painted them and applied an M badge.
Nice car, though! I wish I could have found a white one, myself. |

Looks good! To me, a must have is a set of 10mm wheel spacers in the rear. It will make the rear look nice and wide without having to buy a staggered set of wheels.
Obviously make sure all the fluids, filters, belts, etc. are up to date. It's cheap insurance. |

New plugs, coils, brakes, tires, belt, and oil. Also new front control arms and bushings. He also gave me a replacement set of brake pads as he’d bought two just so he had them. I think im in a good starting point. |
