11’ 550 display not working
Random issue. Went to install the apple car play, got the whole install done, and now the display isn’t working. I can hear the music but no display. But everything back to stock just to see what’s up and the display still isn’t working. Anyone have an idea, why? Thanks In advance

Not challenging your ability or thoroughness of your MOD, but if video isn't showing up on your CID (A12), I'd look to ensure that both ends of the LVDS cable (aka APIX) are connected correctly.
The LVDS connector on the CID is number 2 in the figure below. It needs to be pushed in until it locks, so if a tug on the wire harness it self, causes the purple connector to move, it's not installed completely. The connector on your Car Information Computer, aka CIC (A42) is also purple colored, but due to the magnitude of variations of this unit, it would be difficult to post all versions in this post.....but in image 2, it's the connector labeled 14. Check the CarPlay box itself to see if it has those miniature toggle switches. You might have to consult the instructions to see which ones need to be flipped on and off according to your size screen. I had come across the same issue when I installed my CarPlay.

Thanks for the help. At this point I believe the box itself is bad. I have tried different variations of that toggle switch with no joy. What I do feel is that the LVDS out that goes to the screen itself, is the culprit as it does not sit flush or fit as smoothly as I anticipate. So i have put everything back to stock, wherein the display works flawless.
