535XI Light Throttle Miss
So I just inherited a 2008 535XI 6 speed 60k Miles. Great car, always garaged, and maintained by BMW. It has always had a bucking issue when cold, in 1st. Then when cruising, light throttle, around 1800 rpm, there is a slight miss or hesitation. Not a huge deal, just annoying and now that the car is mine, it's more annoying..
Throughout it's life, BMW has replaced the fuel pumps, turbos, ECM, and done an intake carbon cleaning. It's out of its extended warranty now. So, I've done little stuff recently, plugs, coils, variable valve solenoids. No engine lights and my tech said the computer didn't find any sensors out of tolerance. I did just do the proc of turning care on, pressing gas for 10 second and turning key off. I think that rest the TB and is temporarily cured, but more time will tell. The cruise miss is still there though. Any ideas? |

Try a quick Clean of your fuel lines using a Complete Fuel System cleaner, I recommend by Chevron, you can buy at any place that sells auto parts, Clean your MAF Sensor as well, check your Air Filter make sure it isn't dirty. Start small, before going all in on the $$$$$
